Busy and fantastic day in London,weather great, company great - highlights = changing of the guards where thousands stood at the gates and surrounds. Trafalgar square , horse guards, Downing st.-Bobbies with batons stood guard when I was at Downing st 25 yrs ago - today there were two officers with machine guns - very nice chaps too - cant imagine either of them unloading a hundred rounds on anyone. House of Parliament / Big Ben what an incredible building and   we met Hannah and Antoine :)

Lowlights = Jack the Ripper tour - there were at least 5 tours going on t the same time - bumping into each other as we gathered under the windows and  rallied ceremoniously around grim resting places of the victims.

Stuck in the subway (not the sandwich bar) for an hour due to signal fault.

I had a steak  from Garfunkels - I believe this particular cut was from the cow's armpit! soooooooo- I sent it back to the chef and they were nice about it and apologetic.
