We had some fun today! After settling into our unbelievable flat on the Royal Mile less than 3 min walk to The Castle we wandered around the city. Edinburgh is one gorgeous old town I would come back to again and again and again and still never tire of visiting. We walked around Edinburgh castle today (9/9) and went to Greyfriar's Kirk, saw some lovely stained glass windows as well as tombstones then went for a wee lunch at Greyfriar's Bobby Pub. We also did The Real Mary King's Close tour this evening which as fun, better than Jack the Ripper tour, but could use just a wee more oomph. Abigail who was our guide was just adorable as was the waitress at the pub. We're calling it a night and plan to visit St Giles, Holyrood Palace and go up 273 steps to the top of Scott Monument not sure I will be doing the latter, though. Have taken LOTS of pictures, will go through and post some shortly.
